Our Nurse Educator will be providing FREE skin cancer spot checks and melanoma education at FMG Te Awamutu in Te Awamutu, on Wednesday 4 November, from 8am to 2pm. Community event – all welcome.

What happens

A trained melanoma Nurse Educator looks at up to three spots you are unsure about. The check is non-invasive and takes about five minutes, and you leave knowing what to watch for.

It is not a full-body check and it is not a diagnosis. Keep having regular full-body skin checks with your GP, a dermatologist, a surgeon or a plastic surgeon.

No appointment needed

Spot checks are first come, first served. On a busy day there can be a wait.

If we cannot see you on the day, you can book a free online consultation with a Nurse Educator instead. Book an online consultation

Before you come

Have the exact name of your GP or clinic ready, so we can pass on anything they need to know.
